JAI in partnership with HSBC Holdings plc has relaunched its More than Money programme to increase levels of financial capability – starting at an early age. The primary school initiative was rolled out by 60 business volunteers to over 2,000 students across Ireland and introduces young children to financial literacy and entrepreneurship skills. Emily Daly from Kingspan, Carrickmacross taught the JA More than Money programme in St. Joseph’s Boys National School. She covered the key differences among earning, saving, and spending; strengthens their money-management skills; and helps them to better understand the role and importance of money in their lives.
“Great reports from both the teacher and the students, Emily really brought the More than Money programme to life for the class. Great to have a local person from Kingspan in to speak with the students. Her presentations were informative and interactive. Our since thanks to Emily and Kingspan for affording this opportunity to our school.” Paul Fitzpatrick Principal St. Joseph’s Boys National School, Carrickmacross
