The “Our City” journey continues with Limerick Regeneration and Junior Achievement!
The Limerick Regeneration “Our City” project is now in its third year. This project involves all students from senior infants to sixth class in primary schools and secondary schools in the North and Southside Regeneration areas of the city. The following schools are currently participating: Corpus Christi N.S, St. Mary’s N.S, Galvone N.S, Our Lady of Lourdes N.S, Gaelscoil Sheorise Clancy, St. Nessan’s Community School, Ardscoil Mhuire Corbally, St. Enda’s Community School and Presentation Secondary School. Approx 700 students will have benefited from this partnership during the 2014/15 school year. ‘Careers for Girls’ at Fidelity Investments
DUBLIN/GALWAY, March 6, 2015 – In celebration of International Women’s Day, Junior Achievement Ireland, in partnership with Fidelity Investments Ireland, held a Careers for Girls event for 150 students at Fidelity’s offices in Dublin and Galway
Students from Colaiste Bride, Clondalkin, Dublin & The Mercy Secondary School, Newtownsmith, Galway City participated in the event where Fidelity volunteers shared the opportunities that are open to women in the workplace, through a series of presentations and interactive workshops. During the half day event, students were introduced to a variety of roles in both technology and business operations and learned about the wide range of career options available to them.
